LOFT continues to knock at Becchetti's 'open door'
2/13/2015

Following Leyton Orient owner Francesco Becchetti's statement that his "door is always open" and that he is "waiting for the fans to come to me and ask their questions", LOFT will continue to do just that.

We have been seeking a meeting with Mr Becchetti ever since he took over the club, and it was the lack of such a meeting that was one of the sources of our concern at the club's instability.

That concern has not abated in the past couple of months, and whatever the truth behind the latest reports of 'turmoil' at the club, it is clear that meaningful two-way communication between the club and supporters is an absolute priority at this time.

While we continue to seek that meeting, we also want to hear the views of our members as to the direction LOFT should take in the coming months. To that end:

  • Members of LOFT's committee will be at the Birkbeck Tavern from 1pm before the home match against Oldham Athletic on Saturday 21st February, for any members that want to drop by with questions or suggestions
  • An online survey is being set up, details of which will be emailed to members shortly
  • A general meeting will be arranged for a date to be confirmed in the coming weeks

Whatever happens on the pitch between now and the end of the season, LOFT will continue to play its part to promote meaningful communication between supporters and our club. To strengthen our voice, please join LOFT if you haven't already done so.
