A petition has recently been launched in support of the Birkbeck Tavern, which has recently been put up for sale. The petition calls for it to remain as a public house and performance venue.

LOFT was formed at the Birkbeck back in 2001, and has hosted a number of LOFT events and meetings over the years. It is a key part of the matchday experience for many home and visiting supporters to O's matches, and its loss as a pub would be huge.
