Steve Jenkins - O's Supporters Club deputy chairman and author of They Took The Lead, the moving and proud story of Clapton Orient's major contribution to the Footballers' Battalion in the First World War - will be giving a talk about the club's early days at the Supporters Club tomorrow, Thursday 13 November.

The talk covers the period from the club's formation in 1881 right through to the move to Brisbane Road in 1937. Admission is free, with a collection taking place with proceeds going to the 'Orient Somme Fund'.

Doors open at the Supporters Club at 6pm, with the talk due to start at 8pm. A small number of copies of 'They Took The Lead' are still available for purchase from the LOFT website.
